Young Adult Opportunities at EAD 2014: Help Make It Happen!

December 10, 2013

– December 10, 2013 –

WASHINGTON — Ecumenical Advocacy Days has again prioritized bringing young adult scholars (ages 18-35) and activists together to strengthen the progressive religious movement and witness on Capitol Hill!

EAD’s 12th annual national gathering, scheduled for March 21-24, 2014 and titled “Jesus Weeps: Resisting Violence, Building Peace,” is designed to educate and empower grassroots religious advocates to speak out to their political leaders on policies that impact our world.  The EAD Young Adult Program during the March 2014 gathering will offer special times in the schedule for education, advocacy training, theological reflection, ecumenical engagement, and young adult fellowship and networking.

Please consider donating in support of our 2014 scholarship fund by donating. You may also include a donation to this fund when you register for EAD 2014.

Limited Young Adult scholarships will be available from EAD, based on need, for young adults (Ages 18-35 ONLY) to attend the 2014 National Gathering. These scholarships will only apply to partial or full waivers of the registration fee, but will not apply to transportation or food costs (aside from the lunches include with the registration fee). There may also be additional scholarships available based on denominational affiliation.
Be sure to include a brief paragraph about the reason why you would like to attend Ecumenical Advocacy Days’ National Gathering and why you are applying for scholarship assistance.

Please submit your application via EAD’s website form only.   Deadline for Scholarship Requests is January 31, 2014.
