The National Gathering portion of Ecumenical Advocacy Days 2017 – “Confronting Chaos, Forging Community – Challenging Racism, Materialism and Militarism” – concluded on Sunday, April 23 with an interdenominational worship with keynote preacher Rev. Dr. J. Herbert Nelson, Stated Clerk of the Presbyterian Church (USA), an international “Global Impact of U.S. Militarization” plenary, state break-outs, issue and skills training workshops, an energizing closing plenary keynote from Bishop Dwayne Royster of PICO and a prayer vigil walk to the nearby Pentagon.
