As you prepare for the April 2013 national gathering of EAD, “Food Justice for a Healthy World,” and as global advocates honor World Food Day this coming week, congregations and individuals are encouraged to organize a meal in which global hunger is discussed, either on World Food Day or at anytime prior to EAD!   Church World Service has made available 11″ by 17″ full-color placemats (shown above) for your “hunger meal” at no cost (including free shipping).  You may decide to hold this meal discussion on or near World Food Day, October 16, or on another day this fall.

World Food Day is a worldwide event designed to increase awareness, understanding and informed, year-around action to alleviate hunger, and for EAD advocates, to seek “Food Justice for a Healthy World.”
