Ecumenical Advocacy Days 2014 – “Jesus Weeps: Resisting Violence, Building Peace” continued on Saturday, March 22 with a full slate of thought-provoking plenaries, informative issue workshops and reflective denominational gatherings. Morning plenaries by Dr. Maryann Cusimano Love from Catholic University and Rev. Dr. J. Herbert Nelson focused advocates’ attention on broad policy needs relating to EAD’s 2014 Ask, and an afternoon lunch plenary highlighted in thoughtful and emotional fashion the plague of gun violence in the United States and efforts that are being taken to end gun violence through programmatic and policy initiatives.
