It has been almost two months since our annual gathering in Washington, D.C. and our theme & Congressional ask, “A World Uprooted: Responding to Migrants, Refugees and Displaced People,” still speaks to this important moment in our nation’s history.
We have all heard about the horrific actions by the Department of Justice and Homeland Security in separating children from their parents at U.S. borders. Our collective voices and advocacy efforts are urgently needed now as we speak up for the most vulnerable, fight for justice and seek global peace in our nation and around the world.
In anticipation of and following upon World Refugee Day on June 20th, there are several important events and advocacy efforts this week. Please take action and promote them through your networks and participate in them as you are able.
