At its gathering on Thursday, May 9, 2019, the Leadership Team of Ecumenical Advocacy Days gratefully thanked, prayed with, and celebrated the work of EAD Director Rev. Dr. Leslie Copeland Tune and EAD registrar, Ruth Noel, as both prepared to conclude their service in these roles. Rev. Dr. Copeland Tune served as Director of the Christian advocacy annual gathering from August 2017, and led the team during the 2018 and 2019 National Gatherings. She will continue to serve in this role through the end of June 2019, after which a new director will be named. After concluding her service to EAD, she will remain engaged in the ongoing work of Christian justice advocacy in a full time role in one of the EAD sponsor organizations and continue to be a support to EAD. Ruth Noel is concluding her service as registrar after over 10 years of service to multiple EAD directors and countless participants.
At the leadership team gathering, participants offered praise and thanks for the dedicated work of both women and celebrated them with personal recollections, special gifts, and even thank you notes from many other leaders in the EAD sponsor coalition.
