At the 2015 COP 21 international climate summit in Paris, for the first time in world history, 190 nations came to an agreement to reduce pollution that damages our climate. The main tool for the United States to keep our pollution-cutting commitments is the Clean Power Plan. This year, the Clean Power Plan became mired in controversy, but in many places, it is still moving forward. The way states implement the Clean Power Plan could do a lot for race and class equity.
