Brian Lenair
Washington D.C.’s Saxophone Phenomenon
Providing instrumental music during the closing dinner at EAD’s 2024 Spring Summit will be Brian Lenair. Brian is a gifted musician who treats his instrument as an extension of himself. With over twenty-five successful years in the music industry, Lenair was the frontman for the legendary group, “SPUR OF THE MOMENT,” and sideman for many national recording greats, such as Will Downing, Angela Winbush & Jean Carne – to name a few. Currently an independent recording artist, Lenair is wowing audiences across the country with his musical genius. His latest single, “Can You Stand the Rain” (recorded originally by New Edition) is featured on his upcoming project, “Silky Soul.” Lenair has garnered acclaim in the Smooth Jazz world as a breath of fresh air in a market inundated with saxophones.
In addition to mastering his craft, Lenair has a strong passion for community outreach and is heavily involved with mentoring youth and engaging in local community programs. In 2023, he was a recipient of the Joseph R. Biden Lifetime Achievement Award for Community Service. He declares, “music gives us meaning and purpose and it is one of mankind’s greatest sources of expressing love, truth, imagination, reflection and discovery.”
Brian is a finalist in the 36th Annual Washington Area Music Awards (Wammies) which is annual event that celebrates the artistic contributions of musicians and artists in the DC, MD, and VA areas.
Lenair does not take his gift for granted. Every breath he takes, every note he plays is to the Glory of God!
